A methodology

to see in the dark

Methodology branding for Juni

Juni was a technology consultancy that helped companies such as Tok&Stok, Renner, and Centauro optimize sales on their websites.

How did consultancies in this industry operate? Through A/B testing. Which button drove more purchases: the yellow one (A) or the red one (B)?

Half of a website's visitors would see button A, while the other half would see button B. If, by the end of the test, button A generated more sales, it would become the version shown to every user.

The same approach was applied to headlines, images, and every other type of element, creating incremental gains that added up over time.

So what made Juni different? It optimized business decisions as well. Is it better to wait until the truck is full, or offer faster shipping? If we introduce a warranty, how much more will we sell? And will that increase or reduce our profits?

In a landscape full of uncertainties, more than A/B testing, Juni's methodology was like a sonar, helping large companies create a map of what lies ahead, identifying opportunities and dangers.

For Juni's methodology, we created the name 'Sonar'

Two years later, Juni was acquired by Magalu, Brazil's fourth-largest online retailer, which cited its proprietary methodology as one of the reasons behind the acquisition
